Assogasliquidi-Federchimica spoke positively about the April 7 initiative by Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini to support the renewal of the transport fleet.
The association highlights how, for a decisive push to decarbonize the trucking industry, it is crucial to incentivize the use of clean fuels such as LNG(Liquefied Natural Gas) and BIOGNL.

In this context, Vulcan stands as a key player.
For several years, the Company has been investing in the development of innovative technologies and solutions such as LNG and BIOGNL, actively contributing to the ecological transition of the transportation sector.
The company continues to support trucking companies in switching to more sustainable fuels by offering cutting-edge products and services.
Assogasliquidi-Federchimica emphasizes the role of Italian companies that have been making forward-looking investments in LNG and BIOGNL infrastructure for more than a decade.
The association advocates significant incentives for the purchase of vehicles powered by these fuels, a technology that is already mature and available and does not require vehicles to be converted in the transition to BIOGNL.
As highlighted by Costantino Amadei, president of the Assogasliquidi-Federchimica LNG Group and Member of Board of Vulcan, the association supports the introduction of a Tax Credit for the purchase of biofuels, as long as it strongly incentivizes the use of LNG and Bio-GNL, ensuring their further development.
With this in mind, the introduction announced by Minister Salvini of the Tax Credit for the purchase of biofuels is also a positive development, necessary to support the trucking sector on the path to decarbonization. Again, it is necessary to support the tax credit with a strong premium for the purchase of LNG and bioGNL as alternative technologies that need to be incentivized to ensure their further development over conventional ones. This premium would also be consistent with the growth of supply infrastructure, which is also the subject of special funding lines under the National Plan complementary to the NRP.
Vulcan’s commitment aligns perfectly with the indications of Assogasliquidi-Federchimica, confirming the company’s role as a strategic partner for transportation companies wishing to reduce their environmental impact and benefit from the opportunities offered by the LNG and BIOGNL market.
